Pre-school children with parents will be admitted without charge.
Coaches and team members should identify themselves upon arrival – team personnel
shall consist of team members, coaches and not more than 2 managers. Administrators may sign
in at the door.
Doors will open for spectators one hour prior to competition.
PARKING
Parking for all spectators and team vehicles should be in the lot north of the school building. Entrance #14 is to be used
for both competitors and spectators. It is located in the breezeway between the pool and the auxiliary gym. Doors from the outdoors that lead directly into the pool are not to be used except as an emergency exit. If weather is bad, spectators and competitors
may be dropped off at door 14 j (located on the back side
of the breezeway), but please park in the parking lot as there is not enough room in back for everyone to park. Team vehicles will be asked to park in the North lot by the tennis courts, after unloading team members.
Advancement
Swimming
1. First place sectional winners in each event qualify for the state finals plus
2. Any contestant who equals or betters the state time standard in their respective event in the consolation finals or championship finals of the sectional qualifies for the state finals. The state standard may not be achieved by a swimmer who is competing as the first leg of a relay.
3. The next fastest number of contestants in the state that would bring the total number of state meet entrants to thirty-two (32) in each event. In the event that a tie exists for the 32nd position, the tie shall stand and both swimmers shall advance to the state championships.
Diving
1. First through fourth place sectional winners will qualify for the diving regional.
2. First through eighth place regional winners will qualify for the state finals.
