The Lady Eagles earned a 3-1 conference victory yesterday at Greenfield-Central, moving to 7-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
The first half was a hard-fought battle until Jordan Bunch broke through with the opening goal, assisted by Avery Jarrells. We went into halftime up 1-0.
In the second half, Grace Jarrells extended our lead with a well-placed free kick. Greenfield-Central responded with a goal late in the half, but Avery Jarrells sealed the win with less than a minute remaining, finishing a pass from Jordan Bunch.
Defensively, center back Adoree Smith earned Player of the Game honors for her outstanding performance, while goalkeeper Ruth Sherck was excellent in net, recording 12 saves.
